Girls 'Generation lanzará una segunda versión de su tercer álbum, titulado "Mr. Taxi ", el 8 de diciembre de 2011. El álbum contendrá trece canciones con la adición de la versión en Inglés de "The Boys". Según las cifras de ventas de octubre a partir de la Tabla de Gaon , SNSD anotó grande con su último álbum, ' The Boys' , rompiendo la marca de 200.000 ventas físicas en menos de un mes y medio! Se han convertido en el grupo de chicas(por primera vez) en lograr la hazaña impresionante en un período tan corto.

Lanzado el 19 de octubre, 'The Boys' logró romper la marca de 200.000 en menos de dos semanas, lo que lleva a un total de 227.994 en menos de un mes. Esta cifra es suficiente para colocar SNSD en el tercer lugar en ventas anuales, ya que la zaga de Super Junior 's' Mr. Simple ' (329.035 copias) y TVXQ 's' Keep Your Head Down " (244.128 ventas).
